Franklin has a new potty

Frankie has a new potty!

You gotta love his poo face!

We finally went out and bought a new potty for Frankie because taking him to the bathroom seemed to disturb him sometimes. If he is sleeping and wakes up to nurse and potty, the walk to the bathroom and the lights wake him up and he doesn't want to go back to sleep. This is perfect because now I can potty him without turning on any lights and he doesn't get too stimulated.

I wanted to buy the baby bjorn potty (maybe spelled wrong) but Erich wanted this one. The potty I wanted was simple, and that's why I wanted it, but Erich needs features. I also liked the other one because it has a back and would offer more support as Franklin is learning to sit up. It's not worth the argument though so we just got this one. In the end the lid is a great thing to have. Frankie can tinkle in here a couple of times before I have to empty it. I know that won't be the case when he starts getting into things, but right now it's nice.

So he is 7 1/2 weeks old and this is his first picture on the potty. I'm kicking myself for not taking any photos of him being toileted when he was smaller. When we got home I took it out of the box and he peed on it immediately, and for the most part it's been awesome for us. Franklin does get a little upset about sitting on it if the plastic gets cold, but that was solved with a washcloth set across the back of the seat.

We are still toileting him over the sink, and into the big potty. We pretty much toilet him wherever we are, sometimes outside. I have caught more poos the last couple days too, which is nice. I've finally figured out how to nurse and toilet him at the same time. The bowl in this potty is the perfect size for his little bum, so I just put it between my legs and hold him over it as he nurses. It's perfect, no mess.

I just wanted to share a few photos of my tiny guy going potty, mostly because I think his poo face in the first photo is seriously funny. I love this baby.
